Edward R. LeFevour, CPP, MEP - Founder

Ed LeFevour is an experienced investigator and safety and security specialist. Ed holds a private detective license in Illinois (1993) and Wisconsin (2003).

Ed is a certified protection professional (CPP) which is recognized by ASIS International as the highest professional security designation. As an active certificate holder since 1999, Ed is also certified under the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, "Safety Act of 2002," which can provide major liability protection to clients as outlined in the federal act. Ed is also a Department of Homeland Security, FEMA Master Exercise Practitioner.

Ed has twenty-two years of experience in the security services and legal investigations field, including fourteen years of experience employed in public safety management positions at the once world's busiest airport (prior to and after September 11, 2001). Ed is a graduate of the Chicago Police Academy and is qualified as a certified law enforcement officer in Illinois. Ed oversaw safety and security design, development, and operations for large scale public works commercial airport construction projects in both secure and non-secure areas (airfield and terminals).

Ed served as a member of the State of Illinois Department of Homeland Security Transportation Terrorism Task Force, having held leadership positions with this group of federal, state and local public safety officials.

Appointed in 2002 by the former Deputy Director of the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), Ed served as co-chairman for the first IDOT Terrorism Task Force subcommittee post September 11, which at that time was responsible for oversight of a statewide security vulnerability assessment for critical transportation infrastructure throughout the entire state of Illinois.

Ed also served as a member of the former Superintendant of Chicago Police Department Philip Cline's Multi Cultural Forum with a stated mission to strengthen relations between the police and Chicago's diverse communities.

In these positions, Ed has developed relationships with law enforcement officials, government officials, airlines and others, and has acted as liaison to these individuals, agencies and businesses for purpose of investigation and other related protective services.

Peter J. Saunders – Investigator

Peter J. Saunders is a Loyola University of Chicago graduate. During his undergraduate years, Pete was a Legal Assistant for a prominent Chicago attorney.

Beginning as a part-time process server for Edward R. LeFevour & Associates, Ltd., Pete has been working full-time for the company since 2002 specializing in skip tracing, process service and surveillance.

Pete has a strong sense of ethics and he believes that quick and efficient service for the customer is the best philosophy.


Kathryn L. LeFevour – Licensed Private Detective/President
(Individual License #115-002070)

Kathryn L. LeFevour is a graduate of Loras College with a degree in Political Science and International Studies. Kathryn received her "Certified Criminal Defense Investigation" certificate in 2006 from DePaul University.

In 2008, Kathryn became fully licensed in the state of Illinois as a Private Detective.

Kathryn is a member of ASIS International, an organization for security professionals.

Previously employed with the Office of the Chief Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County, Kathryn currently works full-time with Edward R. LeFevour & Associates, Ltd as both an Investigator and General Manager specializing in national and international background and due diligence investigations. Kathryn has developed a well-established domestic and international network of investigators. She conducts and directs investigations nationally as well as in over 30 foreign countries.
